Club events for 2009

Currently, this area of our site is still being put together!

It will start to grow rapidly through the year, but in the meantime, here is some team info about our first major event of the year...

The Worlington Fete

Summer Fete 2009

The club will once again be organising another fete this year which will take place on Sunday 24th May. This year's event will be of a similar format to last year.

A few things that have already been confirmed include: A dance demonstration by local dance school KATS, Horse Rides, Coconut Shy, Clay pigeon shooting, Tug Of War, Digger Balance, Slippery Pole, Bouncy Castle, Welly Wang, Kids Entertainer, Tombola, BBQ, Tutored Beer tasting + MANY MORE.

(Rumour has it that a certain "web guy" may also be bringing his Karate club along for a demonstration - audience participation has never been tried before... so watch out!!)

After the day activities have come to an end and day turns to night, there will be an 80's band 'Zebra Express' playing followed by a disco.

The bar will be open till late and there will be food served, which will be included in the ticket price.

To make all this possible we will need all of your support to either help set up in the morning, run stalls and clear up the following day. If you could let Craig or Paul know if you are able to help in any way it would be very much appreciated. Remember a little help on the day to man a stall will help raise money for your club to improve the facilities that you use.

We are still open to new ideas but we need to know ASAP so we can plan them into the day, we are also looking for local craft people to have stalls at the fete at a cost of £10 for a pitch or £15 for a pitch and a stall (size 8ft x 4ft) so if you know of anyone who may like a stall please let Craig or Paul know.

Now we turn to the evening event where we have made a slight change, for the evening's entertainment we will be having a 5 piece 70's and 80's band playing. The bar will be open till late for you to sample a few alcoholic beverages. Food will once again be served during the evening, which will be jacket potato and either chilli or sausage casserole, which will be included in the ticket price.

Tickets for the evening will be going on sale shortly so watch this space!!!

Just one more thing can I ask you all to cross your fingers and hope for a lovely days sunshine!!!
